About Softplan
Softplan is a technology company based in Florianópolis, founded in 1990, and one of the leading references in digital transformation in Brazil. It develops software solutions and data intelligence that modernize management and increase efficiency in both public and private institutions.
With a focus on the Justice, Government, and Construction sectors, the company is responsible for systems like SAJ (Justice Automation System) and several platforms that use artificial intelligence, analytics, and automation to drive innovation and transparency.
Briefing & Objectives
Conecta Softplan is Softplan's quarterly meeting for results and strategies, bringing together over 2,500 employees in a live talk-show-style event. With the participation of the executive team, the meeting covers relevant topics such as acquisitions, key performance indicators, HR initiatives, and the company’s future.
The schedule includes recurring and interactive segments, such as Q&A sessions, live troubleshooting, and content on culture, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
My role involved creating stings for each segment of the event, as well as an opening sting to mark the start of the show.
Opening
For the opening, I thought it was essential for it to be dynamic, exploring different layouts, while still working well on a large screen without too many camera movements. Additionally, it was crucial to follow the visual identity guidelines, which were developed internally by Softplan.
The first step was to break down the visual identity and separate the colors, fonts, and graphic elements that I could use for the animation. Since the team gave me some freedom to create beyond the initial material, I added a few emojis and created other visual elements, always ensuring consistency to maintain the aesthetic of Conecta.
Next, I created the storyboard and styleframes, considering how the scenes could be built, the transitions, and how I would construct each composition.
One of the biggest challenges was working with a very limited visual identity. To achieve a stronger and more complete result, I needed to create new elements that would enrich the set of materials.
In the images on the side, you can see exactly the initial material I received for development.
From that point on, I sought visual references that would allow me to expand and strengthen the event's universe, bringing more depth and coherence to the project.
Reference
As references, I turned to artists and motion designers who primarily work with stings and identities for the broadcasting world. During my research on Behance, I came across the profile of Nacho Julián, an Argentine designer with work for ESPN, Discovery, and NatGeo, who became one of my biggest inspirations in motion design.
For this particular project, one of the central references was his work “Generación F” developed for ESPN, which helped guide the visual direction and pacing of the pieces.
Spots
For the spots, I aimed to create compositions and use elements that referenced the themes presented in each segment.
The segments consisted of "Fala Eduardo," where the company’s CEO would present future directions; "Grandes Empresas, Grandes Negócios," focused on projects and expansion; "Perguntas e Respostas," for audience interaction; "Plantão," with important news; "Tá Sabendo," featuring updates and launches; and "Transforma," the program dedicated to employee development and workplace environment.
